The DC Extended Universe is currently at a crossroads with reports of the new WB leadership committed to bringing some much-needed credibility to the franchise. Just this week, Warner Bros. Discovery has laid out some of its future plans for the franchise, including Henry Cavill's jaw-dropping comeback as Superman in Man of Steel 2.

Naturally, fans are under the impression that David Zaslav and company will be bringing back actors like Ben Affleck and Ray Fisher full-time to the DCEU but it looks like someone is actually in danger of being on the chopping block and that's none other than Ezra Miller, who has been involved in several scandals this year alone.

For the longest time, it seemed like Warner Bros. Discovery has turned a blind eye to Ezra's controversies and even met with the actor who was reportedly determined to save his DCEU spot. Previous reports have suggested that negotiation between both parties went well but according to a new rumor, Ezra might be getting replaced as Barry Allen after all.

According to a new scoop from insider Grace Randolph, the newly-established merger is currently eyeing George McKay to replace Miller as Barry Allen in future DCEU projects. The British actor is best known for his role as William Schofield in the Oscar-winning film 1917.

Logically speaking, Ezra being ousted from the DCEU is the right call, especially from a business standpoint. Let's face it, a lot of people aren't ready to forgive him for all the trouble he's caused and it would take more than an apology for him to redeem himself.

DC's The Flash is scheduled for release on June 23, 2023.
