There's a bunch of new roles being cast for Game of Thrones season 7, Watchers on the Wall reports. The filming for the seventh season may be a little delayed compared for other seasons, but it looks like preparations are already in full swing. A lot of the roles are pretty minor, but they do lend some insight into what season seven may be like.

You can see the casting calls below. Don't look if you don't want spoilers!

  • General, who would be around 40 – 55. As you could guess, he is a high ranked military man. They want white actor who has British RP accent- that means "recieved pronunciation", aka a standard, normal English accent. The actor is needed for the week of September 6th.
  • Priest, in his 60's. He's "a venerable priest with moral authority and gravitas". Again, the show wants a white actor with British RP accent. He's scheduled to shoot one week, from September 22nd.
  • Warrior, in the 35 – 45 range. The character is "a tough-looking bruiser with the attack skills of a pit bull", and the actor needs serious fighting skilles He has a "considerable amount of dialogue" as well. Once again, white guy with a standard British accent is needed. This role will shoot across October.
  • Gate Guard, in his 20's. The character is described as a "Confident, characterful, straight-talking Northern lad with a great face to play across a very excellent series of scenes." They want someone with 'wit, timing, and charisma". He'd film between mid-October and mid-November.

  • Merchant, in his 40's. The merchant "appears at an inn during a busy evening. They're seeking a character actor, for a non-combatant role." The part will shoot the first week of November.
  • Lovely Lady. You can always expect sex workers and naked ladies on Game of Thrones and this season is no exception. "Full nudity" is required for this role and it's supposed to be a "good speaking part".. She'll do her stuff one week in early October.
  • Young Lord in his late 20's. He's a "tall, handsome young lord", and yet another white actor using the RP accent. He's scheduled to shoot in the week commencing September 20th.
  • Lieutenant, in his 20's. "The character is described as an athletic, physically fit, and disciplined warrior". They want someone non-white and preferrably of Middle Eastern heritage.. He'd be shooting across three weeks, between mid-September and mid-November.

Though these roles are minor, We can glean some things from them. The lieutenants, for instance, is likely Dothraki judging from his description. Warriors of the Wall also speculates that the merchant might be a resident of Essos, who Danaerys will encounter on her journey.

The "Warrior" seems to be the most significant part listed, with the casting call even saying it's an "excellent part for a top-end actor". There's some speculation this could be Jon Connington, a character from the books who has yet to appear on the show. He was the guardian of a young man claiming to be Aegon Targaryen. With Daenaerys returning to Westeros, it might be time for that subplot to rear its head.
