The Marvel Cinematic Universe's feisty S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Sharon Carter aka Agent 13 is making her grand comeback in the upcoming Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier along with Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan. Actress Emily VanCamp, who last appeared in 2016's Captain America: Civil War just confirmed on her social media that she's wrapped up work on the project.

Taking to her Instagram account, Emily shared a photo of her actor's chair and expressed her excitement over returning to play Agent 13, describing the character as someone she's always loved playing. Previously, Mackie and Stan also shared some behind-the-scenes goodness and it's safe to assume that they're also well on their way to finishing their scenes. Check out VanCamp's post below:

Sharon Carter is among the characters that will surely benefit from the MCU's expansion via the Disney streaming service. Her character's story arc, as we saw in previous flicks would often get sidelined in favor of the other guys with more compelling stories. It's a complete shame because she has loads of potential and could easily be one of the best non-superpowered female characters in the franchise not named Pepper Potts or Natasha Romanoff. Now though, I can confidently say that she won't have to play second fiddle anymore and it's looking like Agent 13 will probably be treated better in TFATWS and in upcoming MCU phases. That's something to look forward to!
