The Falcon and The Winter Soldier's Elijah Richardson Teases Eli Bradley's MCU Future

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier gave us several new characters who appeared to have great potential in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For instance, fans are already looking forward to what will happen to the young Eli Bradley. So is it possible that we'll see Patriot in the MCU? Elijah Richardson has admitted that he wants to explore Eli's story.

We only got to see Eli briefly in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier but fans have been hoping that the young boy will eventually become Patriot in the MCU. Not surprisingly, Richardson was curious about his character so he read about Eli when preparing for his role.

"I did my research after I found out I got the role," Richardson told The Direct. "I tried to figure out who Elijah Bradley was, and what relationships he might have with other people maybe in the Marvel Universe. I just took that into consideration when approaching the character."

But will we see more of Eli in the future? Richardson pointed out that he hasn't been told what would happen next to his character.

"Honestly that's kind of all it is, is hopes and dreams. I mean, yeah obviously, who doesn't want to be a part of the MCU? Right? But I mean, we'll see. It's more of a 'We'll see,'" he said.

Of course, there is a possibility that Richardson has been told to stay quiet about Eli's future, at least for now. After all, some already believe that we'll get to see the character realizing his own potential in the recently announced Captain America 4. With that in mind, we're crossing our fingers and hoping that Eli will be back soon.

There's a good reason why fans are rooting for Eli to play a bigger role in the MCU. In the comics, the character is a member of the Young Avengers and since most of the other members have already been introduced in the movies and TV shows, there's a huge possibility that Marvel Studios is already planting the seeds for that option.
