Wyatt Russell undoubtedly landed the role of a lifetime after being cast as John Walker aka U.S. Agent in the recently concluded The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The finale episode pretty much determined the fate of his character and although he was able to get his brief moment of redemption saving the hostages of the Flag Smashers, it's clear that the former Captain America will once again get the wrong end of the stick after officially aligning himself with Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine.
Episode 6 also confirmed that Wyatt will be a constant fixture in the MCU's fourth phase and with the confirmation that Marvel Studios will be working on Captain America 4, it's almost safe to assume that the U.S. Agent will be making his presence felt in the film. Russell is having the time of his life as part of the Marvel family but as it turns out, he wasn't that thrilled with the finale "reveal" of his new costume.
Apparently, his new MCU look as the U.S. Agent left much to be desired for the actor as it was essentially the same costume but just in a darker color scheme. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Wyatt expressed his disappointment over John Walker's new look. He explains: "When I went to see the costume, I thought there'd be a lot to deal with. It was… it's really the exact same costume but it's just black and red."
I do understand where Russell is coming from but I gotta say, if there's anything he needs to worry about, it's actually looking the part now that he's slowly being established as an actual villain. Let's be honest, the actor could use some work on his physique, and to be a believable "super-soldier", he at least needs to bulk up much like his MCU contemporaries.
The finale episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is now streaming Disney+.
