The report comes from Murphy's Multiverse, which claims that multiple sources have confirmed that Toby Jones will reprise his role as Zola in the upcoming Marvel series. However, it is still unclear if Jones' appearance will be playing a large role in the Disney+ show.
This is interesting news considering that Zola was killed off rather early in the MCU. Although the character returned in Captain America: The Winter Soldier as his brain was preserved in the computers in Camp LeHigh, it was ultimately destroyed when the bunker was blown up. Nevertheless, it's possible that a part of Zola may have been saved by Hydra in some other way.
The report also pointed out that Zola himself might not be the one who will show up in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. There is a possibility that Zola's daughter Jet Zola will be the one who could show up in the series. With that in mind, we're wondering if new cast member Miki Ishikawa will be playing the character.
It's exciting to believe that there will be more villains in the upcoming Disney+ show. However, it's important to point out that the news has not yet been confirmed so it would be best to take this with a grain of salt.
