The Droideka for Star Wars Battlefront II is Tougher Than You Expect

It's finally coming. After months of pestering, we're finally getting the droideka for Star Wars Battlefront II. We don't have a look yet on how the new reinforcement will play out in the game, but EA Star Wars community manager Charlemagne has confirmed that it will be one tank of a unit.

This is his post on Twitter:

I guess it's only fitting that the Droideka would be tough since the Republic unit to counter it is a freakin' tank. Of course, the Droideka still has a lot of its own perks like a blast shield and superior mobility, but hopefully, the devs will find a good balance when the unit becomes live.

Even if it still has some problems, we should expect further tweaks down the line. Even until now, Anakin is still getting some balance changes to make him play better. Need I forget the game took until now to fix Maul's lightsaber throw?

With the Droideka arriving this month, there's a lot more to be excited for Battlefront in the coming months. The Felucia update is likely to arrive in August, and I have a feeling by then we would have a reveal for a new playable hero—likely Ahsoka and maybe Asajj Ventress.

The new updates are expected to come to the game by June 26. Star Wars Battlefront II is now playable for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
