The Defenders Stand Together In Cool New Poster

Believe it or not, The Defenders comes out on Netflix next month, and promotion for the series is already going out. After the successful run of all the individual Marvel Netflix heroes, it's time for them to come together in their Avengers-like series.

Thanks to Empire, we get another pic of the four main players of the series, and it looks pretty cool:

I especially like the "Gang of Four" caption, since that's the name of a band I like. With Nirvana's Come as You Are playing in the first trailer, I can't help but wonder if the series is going to give us a rocking soundtrack. That seemed to be the trend with movies like Guardians of the Galaxy as well as the Luke Cage series.

Unlike all the other Marvel Netflix shows, The Defenders only promises eight episodes, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Some fans have considered some seasons to be dragging since the show has to drag out an entire story in the span of 13 eps. With only eight, we can expect the quality of each ep to be higher, and the story will be more compact and simple.

Marvel's The Defenders follows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, a quartet of singular heroes with one common goal—to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.

The Defenders comes out Aug. 18 on Netflix.
