The Dark Knight Rises Star Joseph Gordon-Levitt Pays Tribute To Heath Ledger

It has been several years since Heath Ledger tragically passed away yet his legacy remains strong. Interestingly, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is keeping Ledger's memory alive. The star of The Dark Knight Rises recently paid tribute to the man who played the Joker.

Gordon-Levitt took to Instagram to share one of his fondest memories of Ledger. The Star Wars: The Last Jedi star revealed that the Dark Knight actor was a major influence when they worked together on the 1999 teen flick 10 Things I Hate About You. Take a look at the post below.

"Heath turned me on to a lot of great music during that summer we worked together. I remember the first time I ever heard Radiohead's OK Computer was when I was riding in the back of his car," Gordon-Levitt wrote.

It's a touching tribute that offers a personal glimpse at how influential Ledger had been. There is little doubt that the two actors had a great bond that was obvious in the movie they worked on. It would have been interesting to see how much they have grown if Ledger reprised his role as the Joker in The Dark Knight Rises. Unfortunately, the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus star passed away in 2008.

Gordon-Levitt may have been greatly influenced by Ledger in the projects he chooses and continues to work on great movies. The Premium Rush actor has finished filming the action thriller 7500 and is currently working on a Netflix movie that is being directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost.
