The first season may be over, but fans at least have more to look forward to as The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 has been announced, and it will air early next year.
A second-season announcement this early is quite surprising, especially considering that there are still lots of shows from last year that have yet to get a Season 2 renewal.
Still, for those that followed the anime, The Dangers in My Heart getting a second season this early makes sense given how big of a hit it has become.
The Dangers in My Heart: One of Spring 23’s Surprise Hits
When you mention Spring 23, chances are that anime fans will first think of shows like Oshi no Ko and Demon Slayer Season 3, which are among the most hyped shows of the season.
Despite not having much buzz before the season began, The Dangers in My Heart has steadily become one of the season’s biggest hits thanks to the adorable romance of its two main leads.
It also helps that it’s animated beautifully by Shin-Ei Animation, not to mention that the soundtrack by Kensuke Ushio (of Chainsaw Man fame) also adds a lot to the adaptation.
Aside from being popular among anime fans online, it was also revealed that The Dangers in My Heart recorded the highest global sales for its NUMAnimation programming block based on advanced sales from international distributors.
Given its impressive sales record, it follows that the production committee decided to quickly renew the show for a new season.

The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 Is Official
The show’s second season was announced via the anime’s website and other official pages.
Specifically, its renewal was revealed via a teaser video that was uploaded on the NUMAnimation YouTube channel.
Much like the first season, the show will also air on the NUMAnimation programming block on TV Asahi.
It’s also likely that Season 1 international distributors Sentai Filmworks and ANIPLUS will get the rights for Season 2.
For now, there’s no word yet on how many episodes the next season will have. Though it’s highly likely that it will also get 12 episodes, similar to Season 1.
As for the story, the manga is now over 100 chapters long, so there should still be plenty of material left for the next season to adapt.
The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 will be released in January 2024.
