The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is Getting a Holiday Special This December

Though Netflix didn't give us a third season of Stranger Things, we got something new in the form of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. The show has become a spectacular hit, and production for the second season is actually ongoing. Interestingly enough, we won't have to wait until next year to get more of Sabrina and the rest of the Spellman household.

As it turns out, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is going the way of Star Wars and is giving us a holiday special. Dubbed A Midwinter's Tale, here's the synopsis:

The Church of Night, like all covens, celebrates the Winter Solstice –the longest night of the year–when families gather around the Yule Fire to sing pagan carols and tell ghost stories. But the holidays are also a time for guests and visitors–both welcome and unwelcome– you never know what might come down the chimney…

A lot of praise has really been given to the show ever since its release, and you can even say it's been better received than its sister show Riverdale. Despite the themes getting a lot darker with demons and covens, at the very heart of CAOS is still a family sitcom with Sabrina trying to solve her day to day issues with magic. The Spellmans are all wonderfully cast, and Kiernan Shipka absolutely shines as Sabrina.

The first season of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is now on Netflix. The Christmas special CAOS: A Midwinter's Tale, comes out Dec. 14.
