The Cast Of Star Trek: The Next Generation Reunites In A Brand New Photo

There was a whole lot of excitement when word came out last month that Patrick Stewart was reprising his role as Jean-Luc Picard in a brand new Star Trek series on CBS. For seven years, Stewart served as one of the lead stars in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Gene Roddenberry's award-winning live-action Star Trek series that followed The Original Series which went off the air back in 1969.

Though we're not quite sure whether or not some of the other Next Generation cast members might be joining Stewart on his new show, it looks like the team just recently reunited for dinner.

Marina Sirtis, the actress that used to star as the half-human, half-Betazoid counselor Lieutenant Commander Deanna Troi, just recently took to Twitter to share a photo of The Next Generation's reunion.

Though there are some missing from the gathering, almost everyone from starship USS Enterprise-D is present including Gates McFadden (Beverly Crusher), LeVar Burton (Geordi LaForge), Brent Spiner (Data), Michael Dorn (Worf), Stewart, and of course, Sirtis. Jonathan Frakes is missing from the dinner party, and while it isn't clear why he isn't at The Next Generation reunion, it's most likely because he just recently had to return to work as an episode director of Star Trek: Discovery.

Stewart's upcoming Star Trek series is expected to premiere on CBS sometime in 2019.
