Since the new episodes started coming out, The Case Study of Vanitas has dominated the winter 2022 anime scene, with a brand new arc that's both action-packed and emotional, featuring stunning visuals, high stakes, and in-depth characterization. The first 12 episodes of the first season are already available to watch in English. So, will Part 2 of The Case Study of Vanitas also get an English dub - and when?

First, a short overview; The Case Study of Vanitas is based on Jun Mochizuki's manga of the same name. It follows Noe, a young vampire, and Vanitas, an obnoxious human in possession of a cursed grimoire on their quest to save as many vampires as possible from the corruption of their true name - and the unnatural bloodlust that comes with it.

The two are as different as can be, and, even when they clearly establish themselves as allies, their banter is never-ending, to the point that many fans ship them together. Complicating matters is the fact that Noe, who considers the story retrospectively from a future point, admits that their joint journey culminated with him killing Vanitas.

The newest episodes of The Case Study of Vanitas, which are now available to watch on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Funimation, aren't a brand new second season. Rather, they are the new cour of the already-dubbed episodes that aired as part of the summer 2021 lineup.

That being the case, the English dub is guaranteed, especially if you take the show's success into account.

As such, the SimulDub of the show continues on Funimation. The English dub of episode 13 is already available to stream, meaning that the dubbing process is only three episodes behind. The entire show will therefore be available to watch in English very soon. Meanwhile, the show recently became available on Crunchyroll too, though only the original Japanese version is available there.
