Amazon Prime renewed The Boys for a fourth season right in the middle of season three.
The third season of The Boys premiered on June 3, 2022. As a new episode is released each week, the executives over at Amazon have already confirmed that a new season is on the way. With only the confirmation on hand, we have limited information about the upcoming season. Here is everything we know so far about The Boys season four.

The Boys Season 4 Release Date: When Will the Season Come Out?
click to enlargeSince the fourth season for The Boys was already confirmed before the entire third season aired, there is still no news on when it will come out. If the next season of the series follows the trend of the earlier iterations of the show, it may be projected to come out by Summer 2023.
In one of his interviews for his most recent animated film, The Sea Beast, Karl Urban shared when they would start filming for The Boys season 4.
Yeah, we're starting I think August the 22nd, we're going to be starting season four. So I'm getting back, getting my Butcher back on, and I can't wait. It's a fun gang to play with, we work hard and play hard, and I can't wait to see where they take the characters from where we leave them at the end of this season.
The Boys Season 4 Filming
The Boys showrunner Erik Kripke subtly confirmed that filming for season 4 started on either August 21 or 22 when he posted a photo of the script on his Twitter.
We also learn the title of the first episode of season 4 - Department of Dirty Tricks.
The Boys Season 4 Cast: Who are the Actors Included in the Series?
click to enlargeWe can assume that most of the cast members from season three will return for The Boys season four. Karl Urban may still play the lead role of Billy Butcher. We may also see him continue acting with Jack Quaid as Hughie Campbell Jr.
Anthony Starr may still appear as Homelander along with Erin Moriarty as Starlight, Jessie T. Usher as A-Train, and Dominique McElligot as Queen Maeve. Cameron Crovetti may still act as Ryan Butcher, and Giancarlo Esposito may return as Stan Edgar.
The other characters who may still return are Chase Crawford as The Deep, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Tomer Capon as Frenchie, and Karan Fukuhara as The Female. Nathan Mitchel may still play Black Noir, Colby Minifie may still return as Ashley Barret, and Claudia Doumit may still come back as Vic Neuman.
Season 3 newbies may also be part of season 4. This includes Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, Miles Gaton Villanueva as Supersonic, and Laurie Holden as the Crimson Countess. Sean Patrick Flanery may still be Gunpowder, and Nick Wechsler may still be Blue Hawk.
The character of Nina may still be Katia Winter, Monique may still be Frances Turner, and the TNT twins may still be played by Kristen Booth and Jack Doolan.
The latest addition to the cast of the series are Susan Heyward as Sister Sage, Valorie Curry as Firecracker, and Cameron Crovetti as Homelander's son, Ryan Butcher.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is the latest addition to The Boys cast, most known for his portrayal of Negan on The Walking Dead. We still don't know who Morgan will be playing, and we know he will be going beyond expectations whatever he has to play.
Morgan will be reuniting with co-Supernatural alumni Erik Kripke and Jensen Ackles.

The Boys Season 4 Plot: What Will be the Plot of the Series Season?

The third season promises a deeper dive into the psyche of The Seven and the relationships they have with each other. It is expected to show us how Billy plans to face Homelander and The Seven – Billy may have to use Compound V to match up with his nemesis.
Season 3 is also expected to introduce more characters into the mix like Soldier Boy, Nina, and the TNT Twins, Tessa and Tommy.
We can pull predictions about the plot of the next season when the third season is concluded.

The Boys Season 4 Trailer: Is There a Trailer for The Boys Season 4?
Season four of The Boys was only recently confirmed, which means their team may still be working on completing the show. The trailer for the first season came out on July 23, 2019, while the trailer for the second season was released around August 4, 2022. By the third season, the trailer was released early on May 17, 2022. If the fourth season of The Boys follows this same trend, it may only take a few short months for us to see an actual season four trailer, with the earliest probable date being around May to June 2023.
