The Boys Season 2 Pokes Fun at Beloved Marvel Netflix Hero

It has been a long wait but The Boys Season 2 is finally here. Not surprisingly, the premiere episode of the Amazon Prime series didn't waste time throwing in some action and violence. Interestingly, The Big Ride also poked fun at a Marvel hero who has appeared in a Netflix show.

WARNING: The following contains spoilers from The Boys Season 2 Episode 1! Proceed with caution!

In The Big Ride, it was confirmed that Vought International is looking for a possible replacement for the deceased Translucent. After all, they can't be called The Seven if there were only six members. Interestingly, Vought has already found the "perfect candidate" in a hero named Blindspot.

But what's so special about this guy? Blindspot is vision-impaired but very good at martial arts. Even his moves are similar to Daredevil's signature moves. Needless to say, the publicist insists that he'll do well with the team since he will be "a differently-abled member of The Seven."

Although Blindspot might seem perfect for The Seven, there's one member who firmly disagrees. It doesn't take long before Homelander smashes the man's ears, making him lose his powers. Unfortunately, Blindspot is left bleeding on the floor and doesn't return in the next episodes.

It's interesting that The Boys Season 2 decided to poke fun at Daredevil but it looks like the Seven will be taking a different direction anyway. It's unlikely that Blindspot will return soon but that only confirms that Stormfront will be the new member of the team.

The first three episodes of The Boys Season 2 is currently streaming on Amazon Prime.
