The Book of Boba Fett New TV Spot Shows Boba Fett and Fennec Shand Ready for War

Disney+ released a new TV spot for The Book of Boba Fett and it shows Fennec Shand and Boba Fett ready for war. The 30-second TV spot, titled “Ready,” focuses on Fett, Fennec, Shand, and other potential enemies that are ready to fight the iconic bounty hunter’s rule over Tatooine. The trailer shows different scenes with a lot of tense situations, including Boba Fett being surrounded by a group of enemies with their plasma shields. In the trailer, we can hear a voiceover from Shand saying, "This is just the first wave. They're going to war." As Fett wore his iconic helmet in place, he says in a voiceover, "Then we will be ready."

The Book of Boba Fett was first teased during the finale of The Mandalorian Season 2. At the end of the final episode titled "The Rescue," both Fett and Shand arrive on Tatooine and execute Bib Fortuna so Fett can claim the throne that Habba the Hutt once held. Jon Favreau, the executive producer, recently discussed how the absence of Jabba will have a great influence on The Book of Boba Fett, "There is a power vacuum because Jabba is gone. Jabba was clearly a very strong and imposing leader, who people were very scared of, and who seemed to rule with an iron fist."

Boba Fett was first introduced back in The Star Wars Holiday Special, but his first appearance in canon Star Wars came in The Empire Strikes Back. He returned in The Return of the Jedi, where he was last seen falling into a sarlacc pit after Han Solo hit his jetpack and malfunctioned. The previous trailer for The Book of Boba Fett teased that Boba Fett’s escape from the sarlacc would finally be addressed, as Fett narrates that he was "left for dead on the sands of Tatooine."

The Book of Boba Fett will be released on December 29 on Disney+.
