Disney and Lucasfilm ushered in a brand new era in the Mandoverse with the release of The Book of Boba Fett and while it's still a little too early to give the show verdict, Star Wars fans are already debating about it online. Despite a pretty solid debut episode, some folks are apparently not pleased with the show which reportedly serves as Season 2.5 of The Mandalorian.

On Twitter, the Robert Rodriguez-helmed spinoff series which aims to offer some clarity regarding Boba Fett's fate post-Return of the Jedi instantly became a hot trending topic and it turns out, a lot of fans are on the fence about it. While other fans found Chapter 1 to be quite an enjoyable watch, others claim that the show doesn't give away the same feeling of excitement The Mandalorian does.

Some fans even blasted the overall treatment of The Book of Boba Fett — from its slow-paced storytelling to its dark and gritty tone, describing the show as "bland" and "boring". Check out some of the reactions here:

I totally get why Rodriguez, Jon Favreau, and Dave Filoni went with a tonal contrast between The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian, and quite frankly, I'm a fan of the direction. It makes the shows distinct from one another instead of Boba's show just being treated as an extension of Din Djarin's adventures. As for the fans who find the show boring, we've only seen one episode. I'm pretty sure things will begin to pick up in the coming weeks. We just have to be patient.

The Book of Boba Fett is now streaming on Disney+.
