The Book of Boba Fett Episode 2 Recap: Meeting The Tribes of Tatooine

The second episode of The Book of Boba Fett is finally here and fans got a few interesting surprises in Chapter Two. The latest episode featured more flashbacks showing how Boba survived in the desert while also shedding light on the surprise attack in the present. However, the best part of Episode 2 is undoubtedly the arrival of a beloved Star Wars bounty hunter! SPOILERS AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

In Chapter Two: The Tribes of Tatooine, the threat to the new Daimyo's life wasn't going to be taken lightly. One of the assassins who had tried to kill Boba Fett is immediately brought in by Fennec Shand, who demands to know who had paid for the Daimyo's death. As expected, the prisoner resists until he is thrown into the Rancor pit from Return of the Jedi.

Of course, we already know that the Rancor is no longer there but the assassin doesn't and he soon confirms that they were sent by the Mayor. Fett reacts by taking the assassin to the Majordomo who denies any involvement in the failed assassination. Perhaps we'll get the truth some other time then. In the meantime, it's time to face another major threat.

After leaving The Sanctuary, Fett is accosted by Jabba the Hutt's relatives known as The Twins, who claim that the throne belongs to their family by birthright. They even bring in the bounty hunter Black Krrsantan to threaten the new Daimyo, who calmly explains that he claimed the throne rightfully when he killed Bib Fortuna.

For now, the Hutts will have to settle for that explanation but there is little doubt they will be back with more force. In the meantime, we get another flashback to Fett's days with the Tusken Raiders who took him in. It is made clear that Fett was accepted by the tribe as their own, teaching him their fighting style. In return, he helps them defend their turf from outsiders.

The bond between Fett and the Tusken Raiders is a solid one as they perform a ritual that helps him fashion his own weapon and gets the robes we first see him wearing in The Mandalorian Season 2.

The Book of Boba Fett Episode 2 is titled Chapter Two: The Tribes of Tatooine and is now streaming on Disney+.
