If it still wasn't obvious enough, Lucasfilm is setting the stage for the expansion of its "MandoVerse" and so far, things have been nothing short of spectacular. Thanks to the unprecedented success of The Mandalorian, the Star Wars universe has risen back to prominence and right now, it seems like the franchise only revolves around Din Djarin and company.
Speaking of the Pedro Pascal-led show, while the uber-memorable Season 2 ended on a high note, a lot of us were left puzzled following the jaw-dropping finale which teased an epic clash between Din Djarin and Bo-Katan Kryze for the right to rule the Mandalore throne.

Now, The Book of Boba Fett's latest episode is finally giving fans an idea of what may have transpired following The Mandalorian Season 2's massive cliffhanger. If you may recall, Chapter 16 ended with the stunning revelation that Bo-Katan Kryze, whose MO the entire season was to gain possession of the Darksaber must battle Din Djarin in order to obtain it.
Chapter 5 didn't exactly answer if the duel between Mando and Bo-Katan actually took place but seeing as Din still wields the Darksaber, it would be safe to assume that he actually beat Bo-Katan for it. Either that or their supposed showdown didn't happen for some reason.

Obviously, The Mandalorian's third season will answer all of our burning questions but judging by the things we saw in Chapter 5 of The Book of Boba Fett, it's much easier to come up with conclusions as to how Din and Bo-Katan's battle turned out. My guess is that it actually happened and Season 3 will actually feature their full fight in a potential flashback sequence.
The Book of Boba Fett's Episode 5 is now streaming exclusively on Disney+.
