Before leaving in 2021 and having her character killed off in the Season 8 finale of The Blacklist, Megan Boone was a well-known face on NBC for the better part of a decade.

Boone is making a comeback to the small screen with her first TV follow-up role, even if Liz Keen's passing makes it doubtful that she will return to her former show (even though the show is still touched by the loss).

Megan Boone’s First TV Role Since The Blacklist

According to Deadline, Boone will return to network television as a member of the cast of the upcoming Fox anthology drama Accused. The part is part of her contract with Sony Pictures Television, which is producing her new show (and produced The Blacklist as well).

Boone appears in one chapter of the anthology as Jenny, who wants a child with her husband Max (Aaron Ashmore). Their surrogate is Ava (Stephanie Nogueras), a Deaf woman who will go to any length to advocate for and protect them.

In addition to Nogueras, the chapter cast two other Deaf performers, Joshua Castille and Lauren Ridloff. Daphne Rubin-Vega and Jean-Michel Le Gal also join the cast. Marlee Matlin will direct the episode.

Accused Details

Accused was ordered straight to series in May 2021, and each episode begins in a courtroom with no information regarding the accused's alleged crime. Because the project is an anthology series, it's unlikely that Boone will return to TV as a series regular after The Blacklist, but fans of the actress may still expect to see her on the small screen again.

The series was ordered for the 2022-2023 television season, but Accused isn't on Fox's fall schedule.

If you want to revisit Megan Boone on The Blacklist together, the first eight seasons are available to stream with a Netflix subscription.
