The Winchesters will premiere on The CW in the fall.
The spinoff is executive produced by Supernatural's Jensen Ackles (who also serves as the narrator) and his wife Danneel, with creative contributions from the mothership series' writer Robbie Thompson. It focuses on John and Mary, the parents of the original heroes, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Ackles).
The Winchesters Release Date
In February 2022, The CW placed an order for a pilot of The Winchesters. The popularity of the original series and Ackles' participation in the Supernatural prequel show both contributed to the hype surrounding the spinoff. The CW was downsizing as a result of a change in ownership and a change in business strategy. Thus it remained unclear whether The Winchesters would ever air.
The Winchesters, along with Walker: Independence and Gotham Knights, managed to stand out enough to receive a series order in May 2022.

The CW has set The Winchesters for its fall 2022 slate, according to Deadline, with a release date of Tuesday, Oct. 11. The show will air fresh episodes every week on the same day, though the actual number of episodes has yet to be determined.
The announcement comes as the network announced the fall launch dates for its forthcoming season, which will include both returning and new series.
A New Chapter
It is good to learn that The Winchesters is headed in the right direction and is prepared to premiere later this year. The show has undoubtedly had its fair share of issues.
As soon as it was announced, it ran into trouble when Padalecki accused Ackles of keeping him in the dark about the spinoff’s progress. Fortunately, the original stars were able to quickly settle their differences and placate an uneasy fanbase. The Winchesters are now free of all those issues, and they are prospering and growing.
The lead actors in the new production are Meg Donnelly and Drake Rodger, with supporting performances by Nida Khurshid, Jonathan Fleites, Demetria McKinney, and Bianca Kajlich.
The show has a different vibe than Supernatural, which is refreshing because it combines lovely nostalgia with a new storyline. This will help The Winchesters to appeal to new and returning viewers while also establishing itself as a distinct show.
