The Big Bang Theory 11: Jerry O'Connell to Play Sheldon Cooper's Older Brother

Throughout the run of CBS' The Big Bang Theory we've met several of Sheldon's family members including his mother, his sister, and his beloved Meemaw. With the season finale, however, it seems we'll be meeting one more member of the Cooper family, Georgie Cooper.

Deadline reports that Sheldon's older brother has been cast in the form of Jerry O'Connell, and he'll be appearing in the season finale which will cover Sheldon and Amy's wedding. We've actually met Georgie in another show already—the Big Bang spinoff Young Sheldon.

In Young Sheldon, Georgie's character is often portrayed as slow in school, hence him being constantly compared to the genius Sheldon. We don't know what he'll be doing in the finale, but I have a good guess that it's going to sabotage the wedding in some way.

With Season 11 ending, The Big Bang Theory will be on its final leg come Season 12. It's a fairly long lifespan for a TV show, and seeing as how all the characters have ‘grown,' a lot of the principal actors agree that it's a good time to end the show. In any case, people can still check out Young Sheldon if they can't get enough TBBT.
