The Batman Starts Production Spring 2019; Ben Affleck Still Attached as Producer

With all the conflicting ‘updates' happening with Matt Reeves' The Batman, I was starting to think that it was a matter of time before they declare the project cancelled. Good news is, the movie finally has a production date, and what's more Ben Affleck is still attached to the project.

According to Production Weekly (via Pursue News) The Batman is set to start shooting spring of 2019. What's more Ben Affleck is currently attached as producer.

Though Affleck being a producer is not confirmation that he's going to star in the film, at least we know that he's still committed to the character in some way.

Rumors have suggested that this movie will follow Batman during his prime, meaning that we could be following a younger actor in the cowl. Though I would love for Affleck to reprise the role, I'm open to having a younger actor face off with an assortment of Batman's rogues.

My idea is that the film would follow two narratives, one set in the present day and one set in the past; that way, we could have Batfleck and a younger actor playing Batman. Who said Wonder Woman is the only DCEU film that could be a period piece?

No release date has been set for The Batman, but it's a good guess that it could come out 2020.
