The Batman Star Hypes up Robert Pattinson's Performance in Matt Reeves Film

There is little doubt that people are already excited about The Batman, which will finally introduce Robert Pattinson as the new Caped Crusader. Although the Twilight star himself has been keeping quiet about the project, it looks like his castmates are already hyped up for his version of Bruce Wayne. Peter Sarsgaard has just teased on what fans can look forward to in the upcoming Matt Reeves movie.

Sarsgaard recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter where he admitted that he is eager to resume working on The Batman as soon as possible.

"God, I'm just hoping that we can go back soon and finish shooting it," Sarsgaard said. "It's much harder with a big movie — to get back to it and finish it. It's hard to even think about anything else with it… I'm about 80 percent done with my part, so I would just like to do the last 20 percent."

Sarsgaard couldn't share too many details about his character Gil Colson, who is a Gotham City district attorney. He did, however, confess that he is impressed with Pattinson's Batman.

"He looks amazing. I have to say, he really, really does," Sarsgaard said. "The work he was doing was really cool. I really dug his Batman, and I can't wait to see it [on-screen]. I think he's a very interesting actor, and… I loved him in the Safdie brothers movie [Good Time] that he did. And I actually really liked this one he just did… the comedy movie with Willem Dafoe. The Lighthouse. He's just an interesting, interesting actor."

We trust Sarsgaard with this one considering that he's worked with several awesome actors in his career. Needless to say, we can't wait to see Pattinson's Dark Knight next year.

The Batman is expected to resume filming by next month. The film is then scheduled for release on October 1, 2021.
