With production halted back in March due to the coronavirus pandemic, The Batman is reportedly set to get the cameras rolling and resume filming in September. It looks like things are well underway with new set photos, giving a new look at Robert Pattinson's Batmobile for The Batman.

Fans got their first look at the Batmobile when director Matt Reeves shared stills of the Dark Knight himself alongside the character's iconic vehicle. A concept model from Jeff Frost was also revealed a few months ago, giving a better look at the Batmobile. Just recently, fans got to see it in action too in The Batmantrailer released at the DC FanDome event.

Now, we get a new look at the Batmobile with set photos shared by The Daily Mail, showing crew members test driving two Batmobiles on a disused airfield. You can check them out here!

The images also show the crew adhering to safety regulations, wearing masks as they test out these vehicles. Other crew members also checked the car closely for any issues, with the photos showcasing the exposed engine of the Batmobile.

New sets are said to have been built for The Batman throughout August. All the locations have reportedly been scrapped and the film isn't expected to shoot on location anymore. That said, this doesn't rule out the possibility of filming outdoors at all, as Warner Bros. allegedly plans to film exterior shots in Chicago, even with the potential of having the actors show up on set.

The Batman is set for release on October 1, 2021.
