The Batman Production Put on Hold for 2 Weeks over COVID-19 Safety Concerns

It looks like Warner Bros. is finally surrendering to the threat of the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19). A new report confirms that production on The Batman will be put on hold for two weeks over growing concerns about the pandemic.

The news comes from IGN, which reports that a company spokesman has confirmed that production on the upcoming Robert Pattinson will be halted. According to the report, Warner Bros. decided to stop production out of safety concerns. Luckily, no one from the cast or crew has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

It was previously reported that The Batman was being moved from London to Liverpool so the film could continue production. However, Warner Bros. has clearly changed its mind to ensure the safety of everyone involved in the project.

Although it looks like safety precautions are being made for The Batman, it appears that another Warner Bros. film is still moving forward. It has been revealed that Fantastic Beasts 3 is expected to begin production by Monday, March 16. However, things may change before Monday. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

The Batman will be directed by Matt Reeves and will also star Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrell as Penguin, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, and Peter Sarsgaard. The movie began production in January and is still scheduled for release on June 25, 2021.
