With the Coronavirus being a huge epidemic everyone is worried about, people have been quite understanding when it comes to shows and events getting canceled. Even productions on films like Shang-Chi have been halted so that everyone can be safer but it looks like some movies are more stubborn than others. Warner Bros and DC's The Batman will continue filming, despite the threat of COVID-19, which is a ballsy, yet incredibly risky move.
Justin Kroll from The Hollywood Reporter said his WB sources confirmed that The Batman will continue production, alongside a number of other high-profile movies. We're not sure if this is the wisest move for everyone involved but let's hope that they know what they're doing. The movie doesn't come out till 2021 so there's always a chance that they are going to take their time.
Considering how big Batman is, we can see why WB and DC want to continue shooting the movie. If they're almost done then I can't blame them and we all want to see how Robert Pattinson will do in the role. Plus, it also looks like there are going to be a lot of cool supervillains in this movie, something a Batman movie hasn't done in the longest time.
The Batman is currently slated for a June 25, 2021 release. Let's hope this whole Coronavirus epidemic is contained by then.
