Despite the fact that the embargo on the reactions and reviews not yet lifted until the last day of February, MTV UK released a video on Instagram which contains early reviews for The Batman from the British websites Unilad, Total Film, Insider, and Empire and so far, the first reactions make the wait for the upcoming movie a harder one as it looks really good.

A statement from Hannah Flint from MTV Movies revealed, “Matt Reeves delivers a nail-biting and fun Batman coming of age story.” Unilad’s first reaction calls The Batman “absolutely euphoric.” For Total Film, the film is “sensational,” while Empire Magazine says that the movie is “gripping.” Of all the reviews revealed, it is the comment of Insider that sticks the most, “Robert Pattinson will be your new favorite Batman.”

However, the embargo has not been lifted yet and these comments are yet to be confirmed. As of the time of writing, the video on Instagram was already taken down but news reports already picked it up such as the report from CBR.com.

The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves and led by Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/ Batman. He would be joined by Zöe Kravitz as Selina Kyle/ Catwoman, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/ The Penguin, and Raul Dano as Edward Nashton/ The Riddler.

Ben Affleck was supposed to star in the upcoming The Batman film and it was originally planned to form part of the DC Extended Universe, however, when Affleck phased out of the project, Reeves stepped into the shoes of being the director and they knew, in that moment, that the film will no longer be canon to the DCEU.

The Batman is scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 4, 2022.
