The Batman Synopsis Reveals Catwoman's Interesting Secret

There have been a lot of updates on The Batman although it will still be a long wait for the highly-anticipated DC film. For instance, the new trailer puts the focus on The Bat and The Cat. Now, the synopsis for the upcoming Robert Pattinson film has been unveiled and it confirms Selina Kyle's secret connection to Bruce Wayne!

It's pretty obvious that Bruce and Selina are drawn to each other, as seen in the trailers for The Batman. However, they don't know each other's real identities just yet. But if they read the film's synopsis, it would make perfect sense for everyone.

The synopsis for The Batman shared by Cinemaxx reads as follows:

"Dark, stylish retelling of the Dark Knight's fight against the crime in Gotham. Gotham is being hit by a gruesome series of crimes that the police have long been unable to cope with. Bruce Wayne aka Batman does what he can, but also reaches his limits.

"The Penguin has a hand in it, but he is only one in the all-encompassing swamp of the city. The appearance of his childhood friend Selina Kyle alias Catwoman creates additional emotional confusion in the angry fighter for justice."

That's right, Bruce and Selina actually knew each other when they were children. It is believed that Selina was raised by Carmine Falcone in The Batman so if they were friends as kids, it could confirm that the Waynes were also connected with the Falcones. With that in mind, this could be the reason why the Riddler is going after Bruce.

The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves and also stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell. The movie is set to premiere exclusively in theaters on March 4, 2022.
