It's Bad Batch Wednesday and the latest episode of the second season was a refreshing one for Clone Force 99 and viewers alike. In Season 2 Episode 13, the team took a step back from dangerous missions and it may have led them to their possible new home.
In Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 13, Clone Force 99 assist Phee Genoa as she recovers a lost artifact from Lanse Crowder who was planning to doublecross them. They manage to escape but Phee discovers that the Bad Batch is reconsidering their "mutually beneficial" arrangement with Cid. She decides that they need a break and take them to Pabu, an island where refugees have been staying to escape the Empire.
Their stay in Pabu is decidedly peaceful and fun, and Hunter even begins to think it is a great place for Omega, who makes a friend in Lyana, the daughter of the island's mayor Shep. However, trouble soon comes as a tremor rocks the island and is followed by a massive tsunami.
Clone Force 99 works with Shep and Phee to evacuate the refugees to the higher ground while Hunter takes the Marauder to rescue Omega and Lyana who have been trapped at sea.
Although there are no casualties, Lower Pabu is greatly damaged and people lost their homes and properties to the tsunami. Still, Shep remains hopeful and says they will rebuild after the damages.
Interestingly, Hunter is eager to help the refugees in rebuilding their homes and Tech quickly agrees. Shep accepts their offer, telling them they are welcome to stay in Pabu as long as they wish.
The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 13 was certainly different from the previous episodes since it doesn't feature as much conflict as the rest of the season. Interestingly, it may have also hinted at Clone Force 99 choosing a peaceful life in the future.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 13 is now streaming on Disney+.
