The Bad Batch Episode 12 Recap: A Rescue on Ryloth And A Surprise Betrayal

It's Friday once again which means it's time for another awesome episode of The Bad Batch. Not surprisingly, Episode 12 did not disappoint as the stakes just got higher for Clone Force 99.

WARNING: The following contains SPOILERS from Star Wars: The Bad Batch Episode 12! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

The latest episode of The Bad Batch is titled Rescue on Ryloth and that's exactly what the show gets into. The young Hera Syndulla, who managed to escape the Galactic Empire in the previous episode, calls on Clone Force 99 for help to get her family out of prison.

Interestingly, Hunter initially doesn't want to get involved. However, he ultimately agrees after Omega convinces him to help her friend.

Omega then takes Tech and Wrecker to help Hera attack the new Imperial refinery. This serves as a distraction while Hunter and Echo work together to free Cham Syndulla, his wife Eleni, and his lieutenant Gobi Glie.

Amidst the escape, Captain Howzer does the unthinkable. He chooses to betray the Empire by telling the Bad Batch that a squad has been sent to ambush down. Howzer then tries to start an uprising with his fellow clone troopers but is ultimately arrested by the Empire.

Howzer's arrest turns out to be a good thing for Crosshair but a terrible thing for fans. Crosshair is finally given permission to hunt down the Bad Batch by the end of Episode 12.

It's a shocking development for the series. However, it's also something we have been expecting since Crosshair's chip started to work. Needless to say, the chase is on and we can't wait to see what happens next.
