A lot of people are already hyped for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's third Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland and as it stands, with all the rumors surrounding the superhero sequel, the chances of it becoming the MCU's version of the Spider-Verse are pretty high even though Marvel Studios and Sony still choose to keep mum about it.
Last December, it was officially confirmed that Alfred Molina is also joining the cast of the highly anticipated Spider-Man 3 along with Jamie Foxx as Electro. Following the announcement, new reports emerged claiming that Kirsten Dunst, Andrew Garfield, and Emma Stone have all signed on to enter the MCU's Earth-616.
We even reported that Emma Stone may be gearing up for her appearance in the film after withdrawing from her supposed project Babylon, a period film helmed by La La Land's Damien Chazelle. Now, it's all finally unfolding and it turns out that the reason why she backed down from the project wasn't because of her rumored Spider-Man 3 appearance.
US Weekly reports that the Gwen Stacy actress is expecting her first child with partner Dave McCary. "She seems very happy and very excited about becoming a mother — she's constantly oohing and cooing. She looks great, she looks healthy, she's glowing," a source told the entertainment website.
This new development easily debunks the idea that Gwen Stacy could make her way to the MCU since we all know how a struggle someone's pregnancy could be. But then again, Stone's potential cameo in the film could just be a blink-and-you'll-miss-it scene so it isn't exactly out of question. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Spider-Man 3 premieres this December.
