They're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky, now they have a new movie, The Addams Family *snap snap.* After more than a decade of no Addams Family media, we will be seeing the inspirations for goths and emos everywhere in the big screen this Halloween, with a lovely new animated style that fits perfectly with the wacky family.
Whether it was the old show, the two-part film duology, or the animated series in the ‘90s, there is something here for everyone to like. Maybe not the cheap joke at Stephen King's It, which feels like a pop culture reference made for the sake of one but the rest of the trailer is what you would expect from these characters.
As expected, we see these characters get into all sorts of mayhem, whether it be Gomez tightening something dangerous in his head, Mortisha controlling spiders to make a bridge, or Wednesday using a haunted tree to attack her brother, it's everything you'd want. Add the incredibly catchy instrumental that pays tribute to the original theme song and there is just so much to love from this new trailer.
The Addams Family comes out this Halloween, on October 11. Looks like a hallow-win for everyone.
