While the Addams Family franchise is best known for their live-action films, a reboot is coming this year in the form of an animation. The movie is set to come out this Halloween season, and star Charlize Theron (who's playing Morticia Addams) shares the first poster for the movie.

Check it out:

The film comes from Sausage Party directors Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon, plus it boasts a star-studded cast. Besides Theron playing the lead in Morticia, we also have Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) as Gomez Adams, Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass) as Wednesday, Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) as Pugsley, Nick Kroll (Big Mouth) as Uncle Fester, and Bette Midler (Hocus Pocus) as Grandmama.

Here's the official character description:

Morticia, devilishly devoted to her husband and children, is the pale glue that holds her clan together. Gomez, debonair, sinister and passionately in love with his wife, is enthusiastic about whatever dreadful scheme he's cooked up. Wednesday is a brilliant and sinister teenage girl with long braids and dead-pan wit. Pugsley, a menacing 10 year old on over-drive, enjoys getting into any kind of dreadful mischief he can find. Mad Uncle Fester is good natured, merry and likes to create mayhem any way he can. Grandmama is smitten with her grandchildren who enjoy her cookies shaped like bats and skulls. Margaux Needler, the reality TV makeover queen, is consumed with a desire for absolute suburban, pastel perfection.

I have to say, the film looks very Tim Burton-y, but I'm sure Tiernan and Vernon will bring their own style to the screen. Though I'm not the biggest fan of Sausage Party, I'm open to seeing these two really grow their style through the years. Let's just hope Addams Family keeps the train chugging instead of grinding their careers to a halt.

Based on the famous New Yorker creations of Charles Addams, this animated action-comedy will follow the Addams family whose lives begin to unravel when they face-off against a crafty reality-TV host while also preparing for their extended family to arrive for a major celebration, Addams-style.

The Addams Family is set to come out Oct. 18.
