The Acolyte star Manny Jacinto has reacted to the Star Wars show's shocking cancellation news in a social media post.
Earlier this week, we learned the unfortunate news that Lucasfilm is no longer moving forward with the second season of the High Republic-set series. A lot of fans expressed their disappointment with the announcement.
With its abrupt cancellation, the cliffhangers in the first season finale will never be resolved and it is unknown yet whether Lucasfilm plans to address them through the publishing content or other projects.
Manny Jacinto Breaks Silence on The Acolyte Cancellation
In his recent post on Instagram, Jacinto shared his reaction to the cancellation of The Acolyte
He posted a photo of Osha and Qimir looking at the sunset in the final episode accompanied by a heart emoji in his caption.
A lot of fans and Jacinto's colleagues in the industry showed their support for the actor in the comments and expressed their disbelief at the news as well.
This is the first time that a cast member of The Acolyte weighed in on the shocking news publicly.
While Jacinto didn't have any words in his caption, it is a heartbreaking reaction as you can tell that he loved being part of the series and he is as sad as most fans are regarding the news.
It is interesting to see whether we will hear more reactions from the cast and showrunner Leslye Headland in the coming days and, hopefully, we will also get clarification on whether Lucasfilm will continue the series in some capacity to resolve the cliffhangers.
