That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime returned this week, with a very exciting episode! Throughout the newest batch of 12 episodes, some fans were a bit weary of the lack of action, but episode 8 gave them no room to complain.
Our main characters might have been the underdogs in the first part of the season, but they're finally able to hold their own against Clayman's forces. There's still some way to go before defeating him for good, and getting revenge for all he did to them, but, at least, they are getting closer.

In the 8th episode of the Season 2 second cour, Clayman's best warrior is finally defeated! Yamza arrogantly created a copy of himself, while fighting Albis, thinking they were equally strong. Unfortunately for him, Albis had been holding back until then – so she finally manages to defeat him.
Of course, Clayman is having none of it, and when Yamza gives up, he forcibly transforms his warrior into a Charybdis. Just then, Benimaru saves the day and defeats the monster for good, much to the joy of Rimuru's forces. Meanwhile, Tear the Teardrop and Footman the Angry Pierrot defeat Phobio and Geld. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 Part 2 Episode 9 (also referred to as episode 45, counting all the existing Slime episodes) will be titled "Adalman, the Index Finger" is going to be released next Tuesday the 31st of August, making this an exciting way to end the summer.
Crunchyrollusers with a premium subscription will be able to watch the newest episode as soon as it comes out while non-premium users will have to wait a bit longer, likely several weeks if the last cour is any indication.
Part of the isekai series is already on Funimation, so new episodes will likely make it there very soon. It's already been announced that the second cour of season 2 will be dubbed in English, so there's something to look out for!
