That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime follows Satoru, a man in his late thirties who is murdered, then gets reincarnated from a relatively purposeless, mundane life into a fantastic one, where he can have adventures he had never imagined... but not as a human. Instead, he's an extremely powerful slime with the ability to devour anything and take its form.

Now that Rimuru is a Demon Lord, things are looking up for him, his friends, and his allies, but is he going down a darker path? For the time being, he looks like his usual carefree self. The newest episode starts with him fulfilling his promise to the dragon Veldora, giving him a handsome human body.

Veldora, who definitely needs some time to adjust to human society, joins Rimuru in Tempest, where he and his friends are throwing a huge party to celebrate their resurrection. Our heroes have defied death, but they are still mortally, hilariously afraid of Shion's soup. But the comic relief doesn't end there! It seems that Shion got a new power, called "Master Chef" which makes her cooking finally, finally edible.

As this isn't The Slime Diaries, not everything is fun and games in Tempest; Rimuru and his friends need to have a strategy to keep their home safe from now on. Rimuru plans to get revenge on Clayman, whom he considered responsible for the distraction of the Tempest.
