One of the most popular isekai anime in existence today is That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and following the conclusion of its latest season, it will be having a feature-length film as a follow-up for what happened in its last run and this great news has been announced on the official Twitter page of the show on the upcoming movie of Rimuru.

In the announcement on their official Twitter page, the fantasy franchise proudly shared the news that a feature-length film, an untitled movie so far, will be released soon and it will be following the events of the end of the second season. Other details about the film remain in the shadows including the main plot of the movie. Also, Comics Natalie, a Japanese entertainment site shared the first promo art of the film.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is an animation by Eight Bit based on the light novel series by Fuse. The isekai anime series follows a man who died and got reincarnated in a different world as Rimuru, a slime.

A thirty-seven-year-old man, Satoru Mikami, is unhappy with his mediocre life as he is stuck in a dead-end job, and he met his end at the hands of a robber. He wakes up in a different world, in a fantasy realm, as a slime monster. As he tries to adjust to his new life as a slime, his exploits set off a series of events that will change his new world.

The second season takes off a little bit different from the main story of the series which will revolve around Rimuru and his friends rather than on the main plot itself. It ended on a high note and while many fans are waiting for a third run, a movie was given in return.

The yet-to-be-titled That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime movie is expected to be released sometime in Fall 2022 or before the end of the year.
