While shonen fans are in for a treat in Summer 23 with Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, harem and ecchi anime fans also have something to look forward to as the TenPuru anime will premiere this July.

Recently, a new visual and a teaser for the upcoming ecchi harem romance anime TenPuru -No One Can Live on Loneliness- was released, and it gives fans a taste of what to expect.

TenPuru is a New Anime For Ecchi and Harem Fans

Based on the manga of the same name that’s published by Kodansha, TenPuru is an anime that features a wacky premise that should pique the interest of many harem anime fans.

TenPuru follows Akagami Akemitsu, a guy who wants to distance himself from his family that’s full of philanderers. Though his values are challenged when he falls in love with Aoba Yuzuki.

Akagami enters a temple to become a monk to fight these desires. But he soon discovers that the temple is a convent that’s home to five gorgeous ladies.

This anime is kind of like Love Hina in many ways. After all, Love Hina also follows a protagonist who finds himself surrounded by beautiful girls. Though its setting is a female dorm instead of a convent.

Another anime that’s similar to TenPuru is The Quintessential Quintuplets. This is because three of the five ladies that Akagami meets in the convent are triplets. Though the other two are just temple freeloaders.

Aside from a premise that’s reminiscent of The Quintessential Quintuplets, the anime’s style is also quite similar. That’s because the TenPuru anime’s character designer is Masato Katsumata, who also worked on the Quintuplets anime.

Other experienced staff members are joining him, including director Kazuomi Koga (of Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible) and series composer Yohei Kashii (of Battle Athletess Daiundoukai ReSTART!)

Meanwhile, TenPuru is animated by Gekkou, the studio behind the ongoing isekai anime series My One-Hit Kill Sister.

The anime’s cast is also noteworthy for featuring big names such as Sumire Uesaka (Nagator in Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro), Yu Serizawa (Kanamie in Tonikawa), and Aimi Terakawa (Kasmi in BanG Dream!), among others.

TenPuru will premiere in July 2023. Though there’s no word yet on a specific release date, nor is there info on where it will be streamed outside Japan.
