Temuera Morrison Reveals He Was Originally Going to Return in The Mandalorian Season 4

Temuera Morrison recently revealed that he was originally supposed to return as Boba Fett in the previously planned season 4 of The Mandalorian.

Since The Book of Boba Fett ended its run, fans have been wondering when the fan-favorite bounty hunter will be making his return to the franchise and exploring his next journey in the galaxy far, far away.

So far, Lucasfilm remains mum on their plans for Morrison's Boba Fett in the franchise following the MandoVerse spinoff, but there are hopes that they will explore more of him in the future.

Temuera Morrison Confirms Scrapped Boba Fett Return in The Mandalorian Season 4

In his recent appearance at Fan Expo Chicago, Morrison confirmed that there were plans for him to return as Boba Fett in the fourth season of The Mandalorian.

However, it fell through when Lucasfilm decided to turn the project into The Mandalorian & Grogu movie instead.

"I understand they're gonna do a Mando with Grogu movie next, and uh... things have changed a little too. There was going to be a Mando [season] 4, I think, and I was going to turn up in that, but as of now, I'm still waiting for a phone call, to be quite honest," the Star Wars vet said.

Morrison also revealed that there are no plans for him to appear in The Mandalorian & Grogu, which is currently in production.

This is an intriguing reveal from Morrison as it suggested that there were plans to bring back Boba Fett, but now the plan has been halted indefinitely and there are no signs that they will bring back that idea anytime soon.

While there are no official updates yet regarding Boba Fett's return, perhaps we will hear some details from Lucasfilm soon as there is no indication that they have given up on the character and he's still a pivotal figure in the MandoVerse timeline.

As for season 4 of The Mandalorian, there is no information yet on whether the Disney+ series will continue after the movie.
