Tekken: Bloodline Anime Drops First Trailer, Poster Featuring Young Jin Kazama

Another beloved classic Bandai Namco game is getting its own Netflix anime. Tekken: Bloodline will explore the backstory of Tekken 3's Jin Kazama and how he ended up joining the King of the Iron Fist tournament. We get a glimpse at young Jin's story in the new trailer along with an official poster!

The Tekken: Bloodline trailer opens with Jin being trained by his mother Jun Kazama who tells him that the first opponent he will need to defeat is himself. Although Jin is learning their family's traditional martial arts, he is still targetted by bullies. Despite his mother imploring him to control his anger, Jin opens a can of whoop-ass on his bullies.

Bullies are not the only things that the Kazamas have to worry about. Their home is suddenly invaded by a demon and Jun faces the monster to give her son a chance to escape. After Jun's demise, Jin searches for his grandfather Heihachi Mishima, who is a powerful warrior in his own right. Heihachi promises to train the boy if Jin manages to prove he is worthy of his heritage.

Tekken players are already aware of Jin's story. After all, the character was introduced as the protagonist in Tekken 3 and would go on to appear in the game's sequels. Still, it's a great idea to focus on the character for the title's upcoming anime and hopefully, we'll get more animated projects featuring other characters in the future.

The poster for Tekken: Bloodline also confirms that the Netflix series is coming in 2022. However, the release window has not yet been revealed. Check it out below.

"'Power is everything.' Jin Kazama learned the family self-defense arts, Kazama-Style Traditional Martial Arts, from his mother at an early age. Even so, he was powerless when a monstrous evil suddenly appeared, destroying everything dear to him, changing his life forever. Angry at himself for being unable to stop it, Jin vowed revenge and sought absolute power to exact it. His quest will lead to the ultimate battle on a global stage — The King of Iron Fist Tournament."

Tekken: Bloodline will premiere on Netflix in 2022.
