It looks like the official teaser for A Quiet Place: Part II's finally made its way online.
Paramount Pictures just recently dropped the very first teaser trailer for the sequel to the hit 2018 science fiction horror movie by John Krasinski, and though it doesn't give away too many details about it does show the Abbott family actively dealing with the sightless extraterrestrial aliens that have annihilated most of the earth.
Blunt who was in the original film, is set to reprise her role as Evelyn Abbott, guiding her children played by the young actors Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe.
In the teaser, fans get to see the remaining members of the Abbot family traveling as quietly as they can on a path made of sand. The path comes to an end, and so, Evelyn Abbott (Emily Blunt), the mother, is forced to decide to walk on the noisy crinkled leaves that litter the forest. The Abbotts know that the sound would alarm the creatures that have killed most of the Earth, but they seem ready to face whatever's to come.
Here's the official description for the upcoming film:
Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
A Quiet Place: Part II is also set to feature a couple of newcomers – Captain Marvel and Guardian of the Galaxy Djimon Hounsou and Batman Begins actor Cillian Murphy. The original film's director, John Krasinski, is returning to helm the sequel, though it remains to be seen whether The Office actor's character, Lee Abbott will make an appearance. It seems highly unlikely that Lee returns from the dead, but we may get to see the character in a few flashbacks here and there.
Paramount's teaser promises the full trailer for the new A Quiet Place movie on January 1, 2020, New Year's Day. Let's keep our eyes peeled for that.
