Tearmoon Empire is based on a light novel series and not on a manga.

It is based on the Japanese light novel series, Tiamūn teikoku monogatari ~ dantōdai kara hajimaru, hime no tensei gyakuten sutōrī, written by Nozomu Mochitsuki.

The light novel series started its publication on Shosetsuka ni Naro, an online novel posting website, on August 13, 2018.

It was then acquired by TO Books, which currently publishes the light novel series in print with Gilse’s illustrations.

On the other hand, J-Novel Club licensed the light novel series under their J-Novel Heart imprint for English publication.

The first volume of Tearmoon Empire was released on February 24, 2020, whereas the latest volume, Volume 10, was recently released on October 5, 2023.

Yes, there is a manga adaptation for the Tearmoon Empire light novel series. It is still written by Nozomu Mochitsuki, with illustrations from Mizu Morino. It started serializing on Comic Corona’s manga website on August 12, 2019.

As of April 2023, the Tearmoon Empire’s manga series can be collected into six tankobon volumes.

It is still ongoing, and there are no signs that it is also ending anytime soon, similar to the light novel series.

After her death, Princess Mia returned to her 12-year-old self to redo her choices and decisions in life, which could help change her future.

In the current timeline, Princess Mia Luna uses her ragged diary to help rebuild the Tearmoon Empire from scratch.

She has to avoid the future of being executed by guillotine by fixing the problems of the empire.

With the empire’s worsening financial situation, a looming epidemic, and a revolution in neighboring countries, Princess Mia Luna has to find useful connections that will help save her life as well as the lives of her people.

With Anne and Ludwig by her side, Princess Mia enters St. Noelle’s Academy, where she encounters two key people in the revolution as well as the love of her life.
