Hugh is without a doubt a sentimental favorite amongst fans but many are also convinced that Kingsman and Rocketman actor Taron Egerton would do the role justice given the opportunity. The Welsh actor has long been rumored to be Marvel Studios' top pick to play Wolverine in the MCU but he has debunked the alleged casting on numerous occasions.

Still, that hasn't stopped fans from speculating about his potential involvement in the MCU. Speaking of speculations, Taron's drastic body transformation is once again fueling rumors about a possible Wolverine casting. The actor recently showed off his jacked physique on Instagram which led a lot of people to assume that he's bulking up for an upcoming role. Is it time for Taron to join the MCU?

Sure, Jackman's iconic portrayal of Logan is forever etched in X-Men history but that's not to say that the Australian actor is irreplaceable. In fact, even Jackman himself has stated in previous interviews that he'd love to see the character's story progress in the MCU, notably picking Venom actor Tom Hardly as his successor. Obviously, Hardy is busy doing symbiote stuff over at Sony's Spider-Verse so he's definitely out of the picture. Now, the real question is, will Marvel Studios actually consider the fan-favorite Egerton? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Marvel Studios' X-Men reboot is currently in development and rumored to be part of the MCU's Phase 5.
