The Winter 24 season is an interesting one for ecchi anime fans as lots of shows are getting uncensored streaming releases. Among these is Tales of Wedding Rings as its uncensored version is being streamed on Crunchyroll this season.
Crunchyroll previously revealed that it will stream this isekai harem anime, though it did not highlight which of the versions it will release.
Upon the show’s premiere, fans noted that it streamed the AT-X version, which doesn’t feature censored scenes for the more sensitive moments.
Tales of Wedding Rings: Censored and Uncensored Version Guide
Tales of Wedding Rings is a new isekai harem series by Staple Entertainment (of Vermeil in Gold fame). Even though it’s not billed as a straight-up ecchi show, it can be considered as such given its copious amounts of fanservice.
As with most ecchi shows, the series comes in censored and uncensored versions. After all, uncensored nudity is generally not shown on most Japanese TV networks.
Given that Tales of Wedding Rings airs on Tokyo MX (a terrestrial network), the anime is shown there with censored scenes. For instance, Hime’s bathing scene has lots of steam to cover up her private parts.
For Japanese fans who want to watch the show uncensored, they’ll need to watch the series on AT-X, a premium TV network that’s known for airing uncensored versions of shows like High School DxD and Redo of Healer.
Sometimes, international streaming platforms release the AT-X versions of certain shows. It turns out that this is also the case for Crunchyroll with Tales of Wedding Rings.

Fans Notice Crunchyroll Is Streaming the Tales of Wedding Rings Uncensored Version
The show’s first episode recently premiered on Crunchyroll, and it quickly got a lot of attention from ecchi anime fans as the show’s uncensored version is the one being streamed.
This was noted by fans on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit. Many were surprised by the uncensored release given that it wasn’t promoted as such ahead of its premiere.
Many genre fans were happy with this development, especially given that other anime streaming platforms are carrying the censored version.
With this, fans are hoping that more uncensored ecchi shows also get released on Crunchyroll in the coming seasons.
New episodes of Tales of Wedding Rings are released every Saturday.
