Take a Closer Look at Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order's New Droid BD-1

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gives us a new hero in the form of Cal Kestis, and he'll be joined by an assistant droid by the name of BD-1. There was an actual scale model of BD at EA Play, and we have a closer look at Fallen Order's trusty sidekick droid.

If you've played Battlefront II, you'll notice that there's this new trend with Star Wars game protagonists for having droid assistants that cling to their backs. Iden Versio had Dio, and now Cal has BD who functions just like Iden's assistant droid—hacking into doors, and providing the protagonist a helping hand during missions.

I guess Dio kind of wins because he can actually fly, unlike BD which is bound to the ground.

With some people admitting that Battlefront II isn't their cup of tea though, I'm sure there's a fanbase eager to get their hands on Fallen Order. Star Wars has been in desperate need of an action platformer, and this game is being considered as the spiritual successor of Force Unleashed. Hopefully, we can get some kind of appearance from Sam Witwer, who played the protagonist of FU, Galen Marek, and has been the new voice of Darth Maul ever since The Clone Wars.

For now, we wait for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which becomes available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on Nov. 15.
