Taeyeon Has Major Goal As Soloist Following Release of New Studio Album, INVU

Taeyeon grows better as a K-pop idol that she has wider empire years after her debut.

Taeyeon first conquered the stage when she debuted as a member and leader of SM Entertainment’s girl group, Girls’ Generation. They became one of the best-selling artists in the country and most popular K-pop groups globally.

Aside from working in the group, she also joined its sub-units: Girls’ Generation-TTS and Girls’ Generation-Oh!GG. Outside it, she became part of SM the Ballad and GOT the Beat.

Though she has a successful stint with these groups, Taeyeon also focuses on expanding her career as a soloist. In fact, she became fruitful enough that people started calling her their role model.

Taeyeon Worked Hard on INVU

Following the release of INVU’s official music video, Taeyeon spoke candidly about her goal in making the studio album and how she challenged herself to perfect the project.

According to Taeyeon, people tend to have higher expectations whenever an idol or a group says they are releasing a full-length album.

“So I gritted my teeth and worked hard. I focused on making the album contain the image of who I am right now. Like my song ‘I,’ a lot of my songs have been autobiographical in meaning, but this album focuses on the theme of love. I wanted to show the various complicated feelings about love,” she said.

Indeed, Taeyeon gave her best in creating the album while working as a fixed cast member of Amazing Saturday and while promoting with GOT the beat. When she heard her title track, she reportedly felt that the song was the one she would love from the beginning. Though other staff reportedly did not like it, the K-pop idol poured love into her masterpiece.

To make fans fall in love with it, she focused on her facial expression and recorded it as if she was in a musical.

Taeyeon’s Feeling on Being People’s Role Model

Being called a role model surely brought pressure to Taeyeon. But amid that feeling, she reportedly feels happy and fulfilled whenever people tell her she inspires them.

“My driving force is myself and my fans. I am always stimulating myself. Since different sides of me keep coming out, it makes me move forward. I am my own driving force,” she went on.

Her hard work immediately paid off as INVU scored the No. 1 spot on iTunes Top Albums charts in 21 regions. Taeyeon and her fans can safely assume that the K-pop star will receive more soon.
