The CW surprised fans when it announced Jordan Elsass had left Superman & Lois ahead of Season 3, and his role would be recast. Now, rumors have it the network has found its new Jonathan Kent for Superman & Lois Season 3, though Alex Garfin quickly debunks the claims.
Elsass recently broke his silence about his reasons for leaving Superman & Lois. So, does The CW already found its new Jonathan for Superman & Lois Season 3?
The Alleged New Jonathan Kent Actor
According to ScreenRant, the speculations began when fans noticed that the show’s official Instagram page and Garfin followed the actor Julian Daniel Rees.
From there, theories emerged that Rees would be the new Jonathan.
As the rumor quickly spread like wildfire, Garfin addressed the issue and cleared the air about it in a post on Twitter.

He said Reese is just a friend from high school. The show’s Instagram account followed him because he took over the social media page one day.
At the time, Rees sent him a meme through a direct message, and he simply forgot to unfollow him after that. Hence, there’s no truth to the rumor that he will be the new Jonathan in Superman & Lois Season 3.
“Julian Rees, while a great actor who will have his own show one day, is just one of my best friends from HS…,” he tweeted. “I forgot to unfollow him after he dmed the account a meme for a takeover…this has been pretty hilarious for my friends but sorry, you guys aren’t onto anything.”
