Fans will no longer see Kat Hernandez in Euphoria Season 3 after Barbie Ferreira officially announces her departure from the show. In a post on an Instagram story on Wednesday, August 24, the 25-year-old star bids her “teary-eyed goodbye,” though she doesn’t reveal the reason behind it.
Ferreira played the role of Kate in the first two seasons of the hit HBO series. So, how would Euphoria Season 3 address her exit?
Addressing Kat’s Absence in Euphoria Season 3
How the third season plans to address Ferreira’s exit remains to be seen. But according to ScreenRant, the show may only explain her absence in one dialogue, considering the series’ teen nature.
It may only say that Kate has moved or switched to a different school and may not give the original character a proper conclusion.
Some see this as an unfortunate event, especially since rumors have it that Euphoria Season 3 may be the series’ last.

Though the network officially greenlit a third season, its release date is yet to be revealed.
