Superman & Lois Season 2 Trailer Highlights Clark Kent's Struggle Between Family and Hero Life

The first season of Superman & Lois was praised for its different take on the Man of Steel as we see him balancing between being the world's greatest hero and a family man. Fans have been looking forward to the second season as they are curious to find out what they have in store next for the Kent family. Now, we finally have our first look.

The CW has released the trailer for the upcoming second season of Superman & Lois. The new footage highlighted Clark Kent who seems to be struggling between his life as Superman and his family life as we saw him and Lois Lane having a huge argument. It also gave us our first look at the new character Lt. Mitch Anderson, the "new sheriff in town" at the Department of Defense, played by Teen Wolf star Ian Bohen. You can view the trailer here:

Based on the trailer, it looks like they are setting up Lt. Mitch Anderson as the potential next big baddie as we saw him and Superman having a major conflict and arguing over differences in principles. We also saw a glimpse at the continuation of the second season finale cliffhanger where Natalie seems to be concerned that her father John Henry is friends with Superman. However, the trailer did not show us any footage of Jenna Dewan's Lucy Lane, who is set to appear during the season.

Cast members who are expected to return in the second season include Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Jordan Elsass, Alex Garfin, Erik Valdez, Inde Navarrette, Wole Parks, Dylan Walsh, and Emmanuelle Chriqui. It is unknown yet if Adam Rayner will be reprising his role of Morgan Edge, whose storyline ended during the first season finale.
